Point Loma Nazarene Community Living Agreement

Posted by armin on Oktober 2nd, 2021

Point Loma Nazarene University`s Community Living Agreement aims to create a community in which the university offers an atmosphere of academic excellence and spiritual growth, while students engage in a particular lifestyle. PLNU is a unique place to grow academically, in your faith and as a dedicated member of your community. At PLNU, find out who you are. The challenges of joining the UNLP are many, because one must be a Christian who understands the purpose of serving the community. If you are not a dedicated Christian, PLNU is not suitable for you, as visiting the chapel celebrations is mandatory. The institution expects students to develop a common behavior based on Christian principles. In addition, students must complete three religion courses that are part of the general educational requirements. Students are required to renounce alcoholic beverages, tobacco and other prohibited substances. The principles set out in this agreement are mandatory as soon as a student signs the application for admission. Responsibility and integrity are some of the most important values of the UNLP and are reinforced by the spiritual life. Every act within the institution should be guided by biblical teachings. Any form of fraud is intolerable in this institution and could amount to dismissal. Students are advised to preserve Christian principles as part of the institution`s values, in addition to community participation.

They are expected to lead a focused life that aims to develop a caring and supportive community. While the institution is committed to respecting personal responsibility, students are warned to use the profane language and participate in unacceptable forms of entertainment in their free time. Come see for yourself what makes the PLNU community so unique (and one of the most beautiful university campuses). With day-of-the-week tours, sunset tours, or our characteristic preview days, you can experience an entire day in the life of a PLNU student – taking classes, sitting in the chapel, meeting the faculty, eating in the dining room, and even spending the night in the dormitories. We encourage every candidate to visit, so join a campus tour or Preview Day by signing up for pointloma.edu/campusvisit. You can use the common application to apply to PLNU in the first year (students coming directly from high school, with any number of university units). If you are a transfer student (students who have already completed high school and have obtained university courses after graduating), you can apply to pointloma.edu/apply. . . .
